Vincent Martineau

The programmer for Galaxie’s Bande à Part, Vincent Martineau has hosted a popular radio show of the same name on Radio-Canada’s Première chaîne from 1997 to 2002. He also was part of the team that launched bandeapart.fm. Vincent has finely tuned his musical knowledge through thousands of hours of listening and has developed an edge for uncovering the most promising talent in the francophone underground scene. “What I love most in the world is to listen to music and share it with others.”

His passion for music dates back more than a few years. He was just 15 years old when he hosted his first show, an alternative music program that ran on his school radio station. Vincent was a musician himself and has played drums with various independent alternative bands. He has also worked as a roadie with the likes of Me, Mom & Morgentaler, Jean Leloup and the Tragically Hip. For Vincent, the channel Bande à Part is made to measure! Today, he works as a music editor and a publicity and movie music consultant.
