I woke up one day and decided I needed to stop “working for a living” and do what I loved instead… Don’t get the idea that radio wasn’t work! It’s just that I had so much fun that 15 years felt like a few weeks. The blur of endless music and the likeminded people that radio supported was the ideal environment for me. Since then, I’ve had the occasion to be involved in many television and performance opportunities but truthfully I have never drifted too far from the inspiration provided by music. I was fortunate to be part of the Galaxie team from the very beginning and our original plan of balancing the music people love with the element of “surprise” that new music provides is what keeps people coming back to us for their aural environment. Classic Rock is truly what I lived and Adult Alternative is where I am now.

Interests
  • Live music – in this day and age, live music is still where you get inspired to take something home and relive it again and again through recorded music.
  • Family – all the music in the world is the soundtrack to your life. It isn’t worth much if you haven’t got people that you love to share it with.
  • Cycling and Xcountry skiing- actually the outdoors is really what it’s about for me. Long bike rides or Xcountry skiing with friends anchor your physical while giving your mind that oxygen fed rush that is hard to fake.

    My favourites change all the time but I was turned on by the Beatles and the candle continues to burn with artists like David Sylvian, Mark Knopfler, Eno, Miles Davis, Elvis Costello, Johnny Cash, Leonard Cohen, Peter Gabriel, Ry Cooder, the Rolling Stones, the Finn Bros, Jeff Beck, Jeff Buckley, Kate Bush, Little Feat, Dead Can Dance, Patty Griffin and many, many more providing the light I need. I find myself listening to more classical music all the time too…I must be getting old or something?
