Steve Boyton

Steve Boyton has been sharing his love of music with radio audiences in places like Toronto, Thunder Bay, Montreal, and Ottawa, since 1978. Behind the scenes, he’s played a key role in creating, implementing and nurturing several successful radio formats, specializing in adult contemporary, light favourites and nostalgia. Steve was instrumental in helping to bring easy-listening stalwart CFMO-FM back to life in the early nineties. Shortly thereafter, he developed and produced a program called 'Sentimental Journey', which was a top-rated show in the Ottawa market for many years. An avid music fan, Steve is also a bit compulsive. He's kept the ticket stubs from every concert he's ever attended, dating back to a Beach Boys show at Toronto's CNE in 1973. He took a four year hiatus from the business in 2001 to study web design and to manage a retail record store before being enticed back into radio. Steve joined the Galaxie team of programmers in 2002, when he was asked to set up the Easy Listening channel. It's been a passionate professional preoccupation ever since. Did we mention he likes alliteration?
